MANILA, Philippines — Kanlaon Volcano had six ash emissions and 23 volcanic earthquakes in the last 24 hours, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported on Monday.
In its latest advisory, Phivolcs said the ash emissions, recorded at midnight, lasted 12 to 84 minutes.

Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, the volcanic earthquakes lasted seven to 74 minutes, which included 11 volcanic tremors.

The volcano also produced a voluminous 200-meter-tall plume that drifted west and southwest, according to Phivolcs.

It also reminded the public of possible hazards, including sudden explosive eruption, lava flow, ashfall, rockfalls, pyroclastic flow, and lahars during heavy rains.
